In his more than 35 years as an engineer, manager, and consultant, Walter has established a reputation as a broadly knowledgeable professional, providing valuable counsel to engineering teams and customers alike. His in-depth understanding of modern printing equipment as well as associated ancillary and processing systems has benefited dozens of newspaper clients. He is widely recognized as an expert on press web lead design and ink supply systems. His enthusiasm and adaptability allows him to work effectively in both team-based and individual work environments.
As an engineer and, ultimately, manager for the pre-eminent U.S. printing press manufacturer, Walter's contributions to technical support, component design, cost reduction programs, installation standards, and project management were an important element in maintaining the company's strong market position. As a consultant, he has used his industry expertise to assist clients in preparation of feasibility studies and strategic plans, in guiding the selection of production equipment, and in managing construction document preparation on a wide range of projects.
